Last year Volkswagen scored big by releasing its now-famous mini-Darth Vader Super Bowl commercial ahead of time. Not wanting to miss out this year, it seems most other car manufacturers are following suit. Apart from VW’s teaser ad, you’ve probably already seen ones from Audi, Suzuki, Chevrolet and Hyundai as well.
You might have seen the 10 second teaser, which went viral last week and caused some to wonder if a new Ferris Bueller movie was in the works. The ad is directed by Todd Philips and stars Matthew Broderick reprising his famous role. In Honda’s video, he takes a day off work in his all-new 2012 Honda CR-V to do all of the things he wants to do.
The video ties into Honda’s ongoing Leap List campaign for the all-new 2012 Honda CR-V, which encourages visitors to do the things they’ve always wanted to do before they make the next big leap in life.
